Lash Services
We will go over maintenance with you at the end of your appointment.
Brush your lashes in the morning, after washing your face, when applying makeup, and after showering
Wash the lashes with an eyelash foam cleanser
Do not sleep on your face
Do not use oil-based products around the eyes
Do not rub, touch, or pull on the lashes
You can wear mascara on your lash extensions; however, the beauty of lash extensions is that you likely won’t need it. If you’d like to wear mascara, we recommend using mascara specifically for extensions and only applying the mascara to the tips of the extensions.
For the lash lift and tint - Yes, once the initial 24 hour period after the appointment is over, you can wear mascara. Be sure to choose a water-based mascara, which is best for tinted lashes.
Wax Services
No matter what type of wax you’re getting, please ensure that the area that will be waxed is clean (hygiene is obviously very important!). We also suggest taking a bath the night before to soften the skin.
Avoid shaving for at least 3-4 weeks before your appointment to make sure there’s enough hair to work with (we need a 1/4-1/2 inch of hair)
Medications: You’re welcome to take over-the-counter pain medication like Advil if you’re particularly sensitive to wax pain. However, you cannot get a wax if you’re using any retinol products on the area that is going to be waxed, strong acne medications like Accutane, or any blood-thinning medications.
We do everything we can to make the experience as pain-free as possible. There will likely be some pain and discomfort, especially if it’s your first time. While the experience is different for everyone, most people agree that the first wax hurts the most and the pain gets less and less each time. The reason it hurts less is because with waxing, the hair grows back softer and finer, making it less painful to remove.
If you’re worried about pain, we recommend taking over-the-counter meds like Advil before your appointment. If you’re getting the Brazilian Wax, we highly recommend getting a soothing vajacial for afterwards. This treatment cleanses and exfoliates your skin to minimize pain and inflammation.
If you’re using any retinol products on the area that is going to be waxed
If you’re taking Accutane, or other strong acne medications
No blood-thinning medications
Any serious skin conditions, recent surgeries, or recently in a tanning bed. Sunburn, laser burns, or breakouts in the area that will be waxed.
If you have type 1 diabetes, please let us know as we may need permission from your doctor.
We kindly ask you to avoid using any numbing creams or sprays. It could interfere with the application of the wax or cause an allergic reaction.
If you’re worried about pain, we recommend taking some over-the-counter meds like Advil.
Please also remember that we always do everything we can to make the experience as painless and comfortable as possible. The pain also gets less and less after each wax.
